YWCA Greater Cleveland Announces Bernie Moreno as keynote speaker for 2016 It’s Time To Talk: Forum On Race

Bernie MorenoBernie Moreno, President and CEO of the Bernie Moreno Companies, will be the keynote speaker for the second annual It’s Time to Talk: Forum on Race, presented and hosted by YWCA Greater Cleveland. Margaret Mitchell, YWCA Greater Cleveland’s President & CEO states, “Bernie’s background and success is one to be highlighted in this climate of racial discourse. We look forward to having another amazing Greater Cleveland leader share his story and discuss why we should continue to give people the space to talk and take action towards becoming a culturally competent community.”

Born in Bogota, Columbia, Mr. Moreno, who moved to the United States at the age of 5, has experienced the challenges and success of being an immigrant and like others, becoming a major contributing U. S. citizen. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a BS in Business Administration, he began his long and successful journey into the automotive industry. The result today is the construction of an empire that became The Bernie Moreno Companies through a series of acquisitions: Porsche, Spyker, AMG, Sprinter, Saab and Lotus. From 2010 to 2014, he added Acura, Aston Martin, Buick/GMC, Fisker, three Infiniti dealerships, Maserati, MV-1, two Nissan dealerships, Rolls Royce, Smart, Volkswagen, MINI and the company’s first out-of-state dealerships: Mercedes-Benz of Fort Mitchell (Kentucky) followed by Mercedes-Benz of Burlington (Massachusetts). An Infiniti dealership in Coral Gables, Florida is coming soon! In 2015 the Bernie Moreno Companies made their first non-automotive acquisition, HotCards.com, Cleveland’s leading online printing company.
